Crop Weather
RICE
Nursery sowing of Boro rice in West Bengal and Assam, and of Puncha rice in Kerala has started. Harvesting of kharif crop is over in most parts. Samba rice in TN is in vegetative stage while Mundakan rice in Kerala is in harvesting stage. Most parts of the country will remain dry. Foggy conditions likely in the morning hours over parts of Indo-Gangetic plains. Fall in night temperatures likely over northwest India as week progresses. Irrigation is needed for Boro, Puncha and Samba rice, while dry weather will aid harvesting of Mundakan rice.

SUGARCANE
The crop is at cane maturity/ harvesting stage in Maharashtra, Gujarat, TN, UP and Bengal, in grand growth stage in Rajasthan, MP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka, while annual sugarcane is in sprouting/early vegetative/ tillering stage in Karnataka. The crop is at harvesting stage in Uttarakhand and Assam and in vegetative stage in Punjab and Haryana. Ratoon sugarcane is in grand growth stage in Karnataka. Low incidence of shoot borer reported from Haryana and Punjab. Dry weather condition will aid crop maturity but irrigation is needed in Karnataka and in Punjab and Haryana.

MAIZE
Kharif crop is in grain development/ maturity/ harvesting stage in Gujarat, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, TN, HP, J&K and Karnataka. Fodder maize is in vegetative stage in Bihar, while rabi maize is in vegetative/flowering stage in Maharashtra, TN and Karnataka. It is at end harvesting stage in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, AP and Sikkim. Incidences of stem borer reported from AP. Dry weather condition seen beneficial for crop maturity though irrigation is needed for rabi crop.

WHEAT
Crop is at crown root initiation / tillering stage in Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, MP, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Assam, Bengal, Arunachal, HP and Kashmir division. Irrigation is needed in most growing tracts.

POTATO
Potato is vegetative/tuber formation stage in Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Assam, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, HP and Arunachal. Crop is at maturity/ harvesting stage in Uttarakhand. Irrigation is needed due to dry weather conditions.

GROUNDNUT
Early sown kharif groundnut is in end harvesting stages in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP, AP, Punjab, Haryana Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bengal. Sowing is on in TN. Mild incidence of leaf eating caterpillar reported from Pune division. Dry weather conditions will aid harvesting operations.

SUNFLOWER
Rabi crop is in vegetative/flowering stage in Karnataka and Bengal and needs irrigation.

MUSTARD
Toria is in flowering/ siliqua development stage in Haryana, Punjab, UP, Chhattisgarh, HP and Uttarakhand. Mustard and rape seed crops are in vegetative/flowering stage in UP, Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Sikkim. Incidence of Aphids and Saw Fly reported from parts of Assam. Due to dry weather conditions, irrigation is needed.

URAD
Kharif urad is in maturity/harvesting stage in Assam. Sowing is on in TN, where early sown crop is in vegetative stage. Dry weather will aid maturity and harvesting work.

MOONG
Crop is in pod maturity/harvesting stage in Assam. Sowing is going on in TN. Dry weather condition seen beneficial for the crop. Irrigation is needed in TN.

TUR
Crop is in maturity/harvesting stages in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Assam, Bengal, Jharkhand, Haryana and Orissa, and in vegetative stage in AP. Rabi crop is in early vegetative stage in Bengal, Punjab, Bihar and TN. Dry weather conditions seen beneficial for crop maturity and harvesting, while the rabi crop needs irrigation.

CHANA
Crop is in vegetative/flowering stage in MP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, UP, AP, Punjab, Haryana, HP, Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Kashmir division. Crop is in flowering/maturity stage in Maharashtra and in maturity/harvesting stage in Karnataka. Irrigation is needed in most of the chana growing tracts.

LENTIL
Lentil is in vegetative/flowering stage in Punjab, Haryana, MP, UP, Bengal, Assam and Kashmir division. Irrigation is needed.

COTTON
Crop is in boll maturity/ picking stage in Maharashtra, Gujarat and MP and in picking stage in Karnataka, AP, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. Rabi cotton is in flowering stage in Karnataka. Prevailing dry weather conditions are seen helpful while irrigation is needed for new planting in Karnataka.

CHILLIES
Crops are in vegetative/flowering stage in MP, AP, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Irrigation is advisable, provided good drainage facilities exist.

CARDAMOM
Irrigation is needed for the crop provided with good drainage facilities.

BLACK PEPPER
Plants are in harvesting stage in Kerala. Dry weather condition will be beneficial for harvesting.
